The 1969 Torino saw a few cosmetic changes which included squarer tail lights than the 68 model, a revised front grille with a more prominent center dividing bar and the GT emblem moved to the lower left corner of the grille. All 1969 Torino GT's came equipped a non-functional fiberglass hood scoop that had turn signal indicators at the rear of the scoop. This beauty was born in Lorain, OH and retains its original 302 ci V8 Windsor as well as its original C4 tranny. It was restored back in 2003 at which time the original Candy Apple Red was changed to a stunning Black Cherry Metallic. When the car was restored in 03 it had less than 80,000 miles and it currently has 86,505. During its restoration the engine and tranny were rebuilt at which time the cam was upgraded to what was used in the 351 and the 2 bbl carb was replaced with an OEM Ford 6V Tri-Power set up. The previous owner wanted to add a few additional flares to compliment the color change and went with Cobra badges and stripes in addition to a set of Cragar Star Wire real spoke rims. The interior shows incredibly well and is mostly original except for the new top, new rubber seals, Kenwood stereo and floor mats. This car was factory optioned with the following power options which include the power top, power windows, power steering, power disc brakes and they all work perfectly. In fact, the entire braking system is all new within the last 100 miles including the master cylinder, proportioning valve, all brake lines, rotors, calipers, drums, shoes and pads. The current owner purchased this car in 2005 and has barely put 1,000 miles on it since. Since his acquisition he has converted the ignition over to a Petronix electronic ignition and has added some nice bling to the engine compartment including the chrome valve covers, polished air cleaner and chrome alternator. It also has a newer set of glass packs that have a nasty rumble to them when you get on it. This beauty has been regularly serviced and recently tuned up and is in need of nothing but a new home. This is a very clean # 2 car that is well above average but we have priced it as an average car for a quick sale! For more pictures and a video of the engine running visit www.HotRodsChoppers.com.
