1985 Ford Thunderbird, turbocharged, 2.3L, 4 cylinder
Search on Google “10 Most Collectible Fords from the ‘80s” - - this car is #1 on that list. This car is in demand. Also search “Lost Cars of the 1980s – Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe” for another article.
Less than 65,000 miles, as verified by DMV. Runs very well, turbo works fine, several new parts, body in basically good condition. T5 5 speed manual transmission. This car can be prettied up with new paint, tires, some upholstery work, etc. If you put $1,500 into it, this car would be worth maybe $3,000 more. This is a turbocharged muscle car, used in racing in 1985 to beat cars with much bigger engines. Yet this turbocharged 4 cylinder is somewhat an economy car, getting about 27 miles per gallon.
Nadaguides.com says this car in average condition is $3,850, in high condition is $6,875. The paint and upholstery, etc. are below average, but the less than 65,000 miles and running so well are well above average. Elsewhere this car also with low miles can be $3,000 higher than nadaguide’s high price. $4,000 is a good price for this hard-to-find collector’s car. Tel: (510) 835-1230, leave a message. I often do not check my emails for days.
