1960 Ford Starliner 2dr Hardtop. This car is clean and has been driven occasionally and kept garaged and covered for at least the past 20 years. I am the fourth owner and know the previous two owners. The car has a 352 cubic inch motor (stock) with automatic transmission. The car has chrome rims with smoothie hubcaps on it now. I have the original hub caps, an extra carburetor, extra radiator overflow reservoir. The original radio works fine, just takes some time for the tubes to warm up. The car has an aftermarket air conditioner but this unit is what the car would have had installed if you did it in 1960 and blows cold. I put an electric fan at the radiator since these cars do not appreciate city driving in a so Cal summer. The ignition was converted from using points to an electronic ignition. The interior upholstry has been redone in original style material and essentially the interior has been redone or reconditioned in original. The engine was rebuilt some time ago but does not have alot of miles on it and runs well.
These cars are rare. Ford only made 68,461 hard tops in 1960 and due in part to their racing applications then there are not many survivors. This Starliner was the only one at the all Ford show at Knotts Berry Farm (Fabulous Fords Forever) years ago. It was also car of the month in Car Collector Magazine in the August 1999 issue. If this car is not sold, I will be driving it to the all Ford show this year at Knotts Berry Farm.
The photos posted were taken for the insurance company. If you are interested, I can take additional photos and e-mail them to you before you come to see the car.
