This solid California Mustang is the one everyone wants to say they have. The original black plates match the title and the VIN. The floors are rock solid. There was no evidence of prior body repair and the car was complete when purchased.
Rarity
First Generation Mustangs are certainly available in various states and in many different iterations. This California Black Plate car has great features and has been upgraded throughout. Our research shows few cars of this caliber are even available.

All new accessories; Water pump, alternator, battery, starter, fuel pump, Aluminum radiator, Billet catch can
Engine dressed finned valve covers and air cleaner. Holley 4bbl carb. Ford performance manifold. Zinc plated oil pan.
Long tube headers. 2 ⅓ inch exhaust with x pipe and Wicked Flow mufflers lead to Bazooka tips exiting through a GT valance
Fuel system replaced. Fuel tank, intake, cap. New fuel lines front to rear.
Transmission
The automatic C-4 transmission shifts beautifully. It is rebuilt and under warranty. Fresh lines.
Braking, Steering
Fresh brake rebuild, new master cylinder, wheel cylinders and brake lines
Service
Fresh service, turnkey and ready to go. Fresh oil and filters. Belts are new.
Trim
The trim is in good to excellent shape.
Glass
The glass is in good to excellent condition. New windshield.
Odometer
The odometer shows 19676. This is a 5 digit odometer. We have documentation that goes with the car that shows oil changes as the odometer turned over 100,000 and through 118,000 in 1983. Based on this documentation, we believe that the mileage is 119,000.
DMV / Documentation
The California title is clear. The title shows California Black license plate # NLP661 was assigned to this car in 1965. Both Black plates are included. The California title is the old style small “pink slip” that is no longer produced. No smog is required for California residents. Very low cost Antique registration and insurance for most US States. A binder, pictures, detailed information, receipts and specs is included.
Comparables
There are very few comparable Gen 1 Mustang’s for sale at this time. Perhaps you can find a car that needs a lot of work or something the kids have trashed. Find an original California car updated to 2017 DRIVEN style in excellent condition with great eye appeal and you have a very few cars indeed.
