I am the third owner of this rare classic. The original owner was from a small town in Nebraska. The second owner lived in Lincoln Nebraska and sold it to me in 1989. I stored the car in Nebraska while living abroad. When I returned to the U.S. in 1992 I drove the car to Coeur d Alene Idaho, where it has been garaged ever since. There has been roughly 10,000 miles added to the car since I purchased it in 1989. The most coming in the first few years until it became an investment and only driven for short distances in the summer primarily to lubricated all the systems.
The car has always been a head turner and still is. On those summer days it's actually been out in the light of day it never failed to elicit a positive response or offer to purchase.
The Burgundy color in my opinion was one of the best offered in 1965. The tires are like new but were replaced in 1989 before I drove it to Coeur d Alene. The top looks like new but was on the car when I bought it. It could be original but may have been replaced. I have no written or spoken record of that.
The original owners manual is in the glove box next to the original working AM radio. The glass has the original logo embedded in it and is in excellent near new condition.
