For sale in our Chicago showroom is one clean 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback GT Tribute. This car began its life as a Fastback and was built in San Jose and sold new in Los Angeles. This Fastback shows very well and received a restoration in 2000 and has been loved and enjoyed ever since. In addition to general maintenance this vehicle has had new battery cables, solenoid, coil, plug wires and oil and radiator caps. All replacement parts were OEM ford parts to keep the vehicle original. Options include the 289 V8, Cruise-o-matic automatic transmission, accent stripe, deluxe steering wheel, limited slip differential, console, power steering and brakes, tinted glass, rally wheels, visibility group and handling package. The Ford Mustang was introduced in April 1964 and was one of the crowning achievements of the then Vice President and General Manager of Ford, Lee Iacocca, who described the success of the Mustang as a “Home Run” for Ford. 1966 marked the second full year of Mustang production and this ’66 not only runs and drives great but also shows very nice. The Vintage Burgundy paint is gleaming under our indoor showroom lights and matches nicely with the black interior. The deluxe wood steering wheel and wood grain center console add just the right amount of compliment to the black bucket seats and original-style loop carpeting. The dash and gauges are very nice and indicate that this beauty has lived a privileged life away from harsh weather. The reliable 289 purrs like a kitten and is ready to be enjoyed by the next owner. Located in our Chicago showroom, this 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback can be seen including an HD video and pictures at www.gatewayclassiccars.com.
