First time offered, from my private collection, a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1, arguably the best looking and most desirable Mustang ever built.
This is a truly magnificent example of a first quality, investment grade, collectors automobile and one of the best examples of that model year. Restoration of this car finished about four years ago and has been only driven to close car shows, it is very roadworthy and has no defects but has been trailered to most events.
Restoration parts for this car were chosen with priority given to original parts first, then N.O.S. Parts as available, then quality reproduction parts.
I have close to 85K in receipts on this car, not figuring in the years of hours to restore so, I can't let this go cheap.

Description of Drive-train.
Engine:
The block for this car was a service block installed by a Ford dealer and not original as installed at factory so a new complete engine was purchased and built to factory spec's using pieces date coded prior to the build of the car. The intake and heads are original. Work was done by Batteux Racing Engines in California. Starter motor and Water Pump are original date coded Ford. Engine components are very original, smog equipment, rails and some hoses are original, exhaust manifolds also all shaker hood scoop are original.
Carburetor has been concours restored, plated detailed and tagged.
Runs like new, a little stiff as still not broken in.
Transmission:
Top Loader Four Speed with tag mounted showing original to car.
This was professionally rebuilt, and re-detailed as it came out of the car with the factory markings that were present.
Clutch and flywheel were rebuilt and reinstalled.
Shifter is Ford, with Ford linkage, Ford n.o.s. boot and reproduced knob.
Drive Shaft:
The original drive shaft was media blasted, new u-joints installed and re-detailed as factory.
Rear Axle:
The original 9” center section was inspected and rebuilt by a professional. The housing and axles were media blasted, cleaned and refinished with pre-existing factory markings. A equa-loc center section was installed.
Other Systems:
Exhaust:
Aluminized steel, one transverse muffler two resonators design as factory installed. New Ford factory marked clamps, new hangars. All reproduction but as close to original in design as possible with Ford markings as available.
Brakes:
All new shoes and drums rotors and pads all around, new hardware, master cylinder and booster. Re-detailed original e-brake cables and hardware. All new brake lines.
Wiring:
Original wiring was inspected, cleaned, tested and re-wrapped. Firewall forward is new as is the rear harness. Engine wiring and alternator pigtails are new. Voltage regulator and starter relay is new exact reproduction.
Tires and Wheels:
Tires are F-70-14 Goodyear Polyglas as installed from factory on Mach 1 Mustangs, on Ford factory 14 x 6 styled steel wheels with original 1969 Mach 1 beauty rings and centers.
Suspension:
Front coils and rear leaf springs are best quality reproduction. Front suspension is best quality reproduction parts re-detailed as factory installed. Shocks are new and are detailed to resemble factory. Installed.
Interior:
Dash pad is Ford tooling, dash pods and wood appliques are original parts concours restored and re-chromed. The under dash has been media blasted and refinished in original dark metalic charcoal paint. Console is original with some top pieces reproduction, glove box was reflocked. Seats are all original and recovered using high quality reproduced coverings. Door panels are new high quality reproductions. Deluxe seat belts are restored by snake-oyl and have original date codes and new original style webbing with re-chromed tabs and trim. Headliner is very well done with sail panels that fit.
Glass:
All glass is new with original date codes and Carlite logos etched in the original places. All glass is Sun-X, tinted. Door glass was upgraded to bolt-in.
Trim:
All trim pieces are polished original with the exception of rocker moldings which are reproduction. Front headlight moldings are re-anodized original. Hood peak molding is N.O.S.
Bumpers and door handles are re-chromed original pieces.
Body Work:
Car had some rust, and all body panels that needed attention were repaired/replaced by a local Mustang Specialty body shop. Paint is a two stage basecoat/clearcoat original Black Jade color. The Hood is a low gloss black paint.
Paint and body work on this car is far superior to original, the reflection of the body is like a mirror and not even distorted. This is the best paint and body work of all my cars.
