Gorgeous Classic Ford Mustang Convertible, 1967, Acapulco Blue w/Black Interior, Restored approximately 8-9 years ago. Motor is original, and runs strong at 104,000 original miles. 8 cyl. 289 cid/200 hp 2bbl w/C-4 automatic transsmission. Matching numbers. Original color was changed to another standard 1967 mustang color (acapulco blue). Options included: Power convertible, power steering, turn signals in hood, styled steel wheels.
Restoration included new paint/clear coat finish, new chrome bumpers, new floor pans and frame rails, new torque boxes, new carpeting, new inside seat upholstery, new door panels and handles inside and out, new chrome emblems, new gas cap, new trunk liner, new convertible boot, new visors, new seatbelts, new stereo, 1967 styled steel wheels with blue centers and new tires RWL BFGoodrich TA Radials size 205x70x14, plus many other restorations. Motor has had tune-up w/spark plugs, air cleaner, oil filter, etc. (2012), new brakes front and back (2012), and rebuilt carburetor, fuel pump, fuel filter (2012). During the restoration, the car was kept to 1967 stock standards for parts and appearance.
The convertible top is in good condition. It doesn't leak or make any wind noise, and the power convertible controls are operational. However, the rear plastic window has discolored with age. It is the original top, as far as we know. We are only the 3rd owner of this classic car.
This is a beautiful car and a great piece of history. Great for car shows, cruise nights, and fun to drive! The car was awarded a few trophies when we took it to shows. (We haven't been active in shows lately, however.) This has been a garage kept vehicle 100% of the time and car has never been in the rain or inclement weather. We have records/receipts and some original parts. Non-smoking owners, also.
