For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1931 Ford Model A. This Model A was fully restored in 1997 and has been very well cared for sine its restoration. During the restoration the car was upgraded with polyurethane bushings, cast iron drum brakes vs. standard steel drum brakes, hard brake shoes, stainless steel bumpers and a three roller bearing steering column. Painted in an eye catching Ford Maroon that is accented nicely with black fenders and a tan canvas soft top. The soft top is a full top that fully encloses the cabin with side windows. Once the top is off, the wind is blowing in your hair, but not too much thanks to the side window deflectors. You're lucky passengers can hop in the rumble seat for a unique experience not found in many other cars and one surely to remember. The Ford Model A was Ford's much improved model replacing the difficult to operate Model T. The Model A ran from 1928 until 1931. The model A was available in many different variations including a open cab and closed cab pickup, 5 window 2 passenger known as the standard coupe, business coupe and sport coupe, four passenger Tudor sedan, the elegant Cabriolet, Roadster, Fordoor sedan and Fordoor sedan 3 window, Phaeton and the Station Wagon. Needless to say that there were plenty of optional configurations. The most common being the Tudor, 5 window coupe and the cabriolet.
