NEW LOWERED PRICE -- I'm selling my all-steel 1929 Ford Model A street rod with fiberglass fenders. The steel body is a Briggs 3-window Fordor, unaltered except for the hood, which opens alligator-style, with drop-in removable vented sides. A modified Chevy 350 CID V8 and 3-speed semi-automatic transmission drive a Jaguar E-type independent rear differential, and up front is Mustang II independent front suspension with rack and pinion steering. The odometer shows approximately 17,520 miles.
The initial restoration on this street rod was performed around 1986. Originally bright yellow, the car was repainted yellow with black fenders in a Yellow cab livery about nine years ago to serve as a promotional parade car for a cab company. The custom design will grab anyone’s attention. The interior is tan vinyl and carpet, with a matching tan vinyl and cloth headliner, all in good condition. All the interior and exterior lights are in working order, including the turn signals and the red and white “TAXI” roof light. The only gauge not working is the fuel gauge.
Features include: air conditioning, Cooper Cobra Radial G/T rear tires and Cooper Lifeliner GLS front tires, custom Centerline aluminum wheels, custom vinyl interior, Grant tilt steering wheel, JVC AM/FM radio and CD player, and power steering.
Professionally appraised in November 2014 at $23,500, the car is mechanically solid, starts well, and runs well. Many parts have been recently replaced. Some cosmetic issues need to be addressed (see photos), but they will be more than worth the investment.
