This original owner 1969 Ford XL Convertible is excellent condition. The XL was painted at some point in its life but when it was done is not known.
The exterior of this XL is painted the same as original and is called New Lime. The body is straight and has never been in an accident. The paint has a nice shine to it, but it does have some small paint chips around the body. The front left corner of the vehicle has a small dent in it that most likely can be removed by a paintless dent removal person. The vehicle does have some small scratches on it as well (pictured). The front and real lenses are all in good condition. The glass is all intact and clear. The convertible top being original does have some small areas where it is cracked but for being 44 years old is in pretty good shape.
The original vinyl interior is in good shape. There aren't any tears or rips in the upholstery. The door panels are fully intact and look nice. The carpet is the original carpeting and is slightly faded and there is a wear spot on the drivers side where your left foot would sit while driving. The dashboard is in great shape and is not cracked. The gauge cluster is complete.
This Ford XL convertible is is good mechanical condition and runs well. The engine starts right up and the transmission shifts well while driving down the road. The electric top goes up and down as it should. All of the lights, flashers, and turn signals work as they should. Cruise control was added as an option for this vehicle. This vehicle has been equipped with power steering, brakes, seats and windows along with interval wipers. The air conditioning is this vehicle works as well. A water temperature gauge was added underneath the center of the dash. This vehicle has been well maintained throughout its life with a fuel and mileage record kept by the owner. One thing that has been replaced was the fuel level indicator in the tank but was replaced with one from another model and now shows the fuel level at the wrong level, when it shows at half it is nearly empty and needs to be refilled. A tune up was performed in late 2010 but has only had about 400 miles put on the vehicle since that time.
This Ford XL convertible was considered a luxury vehicle in its time and was noted as being
