Derived from the 1965 F-Series the 6th generation F-Series was produced by Ford from 1973 to 1979 and is referred to as the Dentside Ford to enthusiasts. In 1977 the F-Series became the best-selling truck in the U.S. which is a position it has held since. This particular example was built in Norfolk VA and lived in Alabama until 2008. The 2nd owner was from Mississippi who owned it from 2008 to 2014 which is when the current owner brought it to IL. It was restored in 1997 at which time the original 400ci V8 was rebuilt with a shortened stroke which now technically makes it a 351M. At the same time it was repainted with Maroon Metallic Paint which is its original color as evidenced on the Marti Report. Even though it was restored 24 years ago it has only been driven 12,672 miles since. Within the last few years the current owner has had it gone through top to bottom mechanically and added a nice list of upgrades which include the Edelbrock Performer Carb, a Mallory ignition, the 6 suspension lift, 35 Swamper tires mounted to 20 Fuel rims, an Extang hard tonneau cover, step tubes, a custom grill, a new rear bumper and hitch assembly. It also has a custom front bumper with a winch as well as a newer CD player. Since acquiring the vehicle the current has put over $11,000 into the mentioned upgrades and servicing the vehicle. With the exception of the dealer added a/c everything is working as it should. In fact, it runs great and sounds incredible with its mild mods and performance exhaust. We have priced this truck aggressively so if you like what you see do not wait until its too late to call! SOLD
