The Ford F-Series is a series of full-size pickup trucks from the Ford Motor Company which has been sold continuously since 1948. For the 1953 model year, an all-new version of the F-Series made its debut. Increased dimensions, improved engines, and an updated chassis were features of the second generation. The F-Series naming scheme also changed for this generation, the half-ton F-1 would become the F-100. The F-2 and F-3 were combined to become the F-250 while the F-4 was moved to F-350. This particular second generation Ford truck is very good at concealing a fuel injected big block Chevrolet 502 C.I.D V8 engine, that is until you turn the key and let the horses sing at the top of their lungs. Hooked to this massive engine is a 4 speed automatic transmission directing all the power to the BFGoodrich rubber that surrounds the very clean American Racing wheels. The Birdseye Maple bed looks really great and blends right in with the Tangelo Orange exterior coat of paint while the Buckskin leather interior speaks for itself. There is less than 2,700 miles since this thing has been rebuilt and it is in excellent show condition. The Vintage air conditioning that was added made for a great investment as for when it gets hot outside, just roll up the windows and you can still enjoy your cruise.
