This 1955 Ford F100 “John Deere” themed pickup truck is for sale in our Louisville Showroom. 1955 saw a repeat of the basic 53 and 54 F100 body styles. The major change for 55 was the grille. It now had a v shape in the center. V8 emblems or 3 point chrome star emblems on the grille for 6 cylinder trucks were different for 55. Also, larger parking lights were a great new addition. When people think of muscle trucks, the mid-50 Ford F-100's are often the center of everyone's attention. They were low to the ground, had a mean looking front end, and were small enough to allow for easy customization. This 1955 Ford F100 “John Deere” themed pickup is no different! As the saying goes, “Built Ford Tough with Chevy Stuff”, you can now add to it by saying and “nothing runs like a Deere”! This 350 CID Chevrolet powered Ford was inspired by the builder’s grandson. As a 3 generation bonding experience, Grandfather, Father/Son and Grandson/Son all had a hand in the building of this farm theme truck. The local John Deere dealership actually assisted with the paint color, decals and other logos that you see on this cool custom pickup truck. There is currently only 278 miles on the truck since it’s rebuild. A set of VDO gauges monitor critical function including Fuel Level, Voltage, Speed/Mileage, Water Temperature and Oil Pressure. This F100 has the right stance with the “John Deere” is both cool and just different enough to make everyone do a double take!
