1959 Edsel Ranger 

Very rare, hard to find in this condition, 1959 Edsel Ranger 4 door hardtop. A survivor, it is one of only 2,352 that were produced. This Edsel was the 2013 Silver Class trophy winner at the Florida Edsel Club Annual Car Show staged at Old Town in Kissimmee, FL last month. It has spent the majority of it's life in sunny Florida thus avoiding the the deteriorating elements of the North. It's stay up North was a very brief one, about 6 months, and at that it was only used to go to cruise nights and car shows in very good weather. It was always garaged and covered when not in use.

The car exterior is black with a white top and white inside the side scallop. I'd say the paint quality is about a 7 on a scale of 1-10. The body is in very good condition. The interior is also impressive with new carpeting on the floor and a new professionally installed high quality carpet like dash cover. The floors and trunk are rock solid. The trunk is carpeted. All chrome, and there is plenty of it, is there and is in very good condition. If you are a perfectionist you may want to have the bumpers rechromed. As it stands the car is an excellent 20 footer car example.

The car is powered by the original 292 c.i. Y block V-8 engine paired with the original Mile-O-Matic automatic transmission. It has power steering that makes it handle like a dream. The ride is luxury quality.

The tires are relatively new with plenty of tread left, but I must admit they are a little noisy. It has sharp looking non-Edsel spinner hub caps. The car has been well maintained and has many new parts. The engine compartment is very clean and in near show quality condition. The music comes from an AM-FM stereo.

All and all you will be proud to own this rare piece of automotive memorabilia and show it off, but be prepared to answer plenty of questions about Edsels as you'll get many.

Asking $8,995, but will consider offers within reason. I'm not desperate, so I'll not part with it at a ridiculous lowball price.
