1966 Dodge Monaco Wagon - VERY RARE
Vintage wagons are HOT, and here's one that's so rare that you'd be really hard pressed to see another one on the road or even at a vintage car venue any time soon. Besides that, it's in excellent shape for it's age, plus it does run and yard drive both forward and backwards but due to the fact that it's been sitting since 1985, the brake pedal is on the floor which prohibits driving it over two mph. It was last on the road and registered in 1985 with its original California black plates, which are also in nice original condition. The odometer shows 62,086 miles, which, actually could be original but the true mileage is unknown. This rare wagon has factory air conditioning and tinted glass and it's all still in great shape, including the electric rear window that still works. The paint is fair and for the most part will clean-up nicely and the body is nearly dent free, with only one, small, shallow indentation in the passenger side quarter panel, along with a small area of rust-through on the driver's side quarter panel. Other than the battery box tray and the small spot on the quarter panel the car appears totally rust free. The pot metal grille and most of the chrome and trim are in excellent condition, even though the front bumper is slightly dented. The interior is really amazing, because, as you can see by the photos, it looks like it's hardly been used, and basically, only needs part of the driver's seat redone. The steering wheel and dash are amazingly nice and there's even what appears to be some sort of an after-market cruise control unit that's been added. Even though the air conditioning and the turn signals aren't working, most everything else does. Back in the day the car was fitted with some vintage slotted mag wheels along with a set of wide biased-ply tires, which still have lots of tread on them, plus the nearly-always-missing original gas cap is still there. With its powerful 383 4-bbl motor, factory air conditioning and its massive rooftop mounted luggage rack, if one were to install a tow hitch this would be an excellent choice for towing a vintage travel trailer to the trailer rallies. So, as you can see, it really wouldn't take a lot to put this vintage wagon back on the road again, where you'd be guaranteed to get a lot of repeated thumbs up and smiles! Due to the fact that the deceased previous owner's family was unable to locate the original title, the car is being sold with lien sale papers and a bill of sale.
