This 1973 Dodge Dart Swinger is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. From 1963 to 1966, compact Dodge Dart was a great sales success, which leads Dodge to upsizing the car in nearly every way for 1967. Most important to enthusiasts, perhaps, the Dart's engine bay could now handle bigger V-8s Most important to enthusiasts; perhaps, the Dart's engine bay could now handle bigger V-8s. Dodge revised front and rear styling on the Dart for 1970, and the base 170 V-8 was replaced by a larger 198-cid unit. In the Swinger 340 a three-speed manual and front disc brakes became standard. But the following year the Swinger 340 was gone, replaced by the Demon, which was essentially a Plymouth Duster. The Swinger name lived on in what had been the Dart Custom hardtop. In 1972, the Dart received several changes, both inside and out. Interiors were revised, as were the front grille and most exterior lighting. Under the hood, the cars carried a better alternator and the transmissions were upgraded to offer a smoother, quieter ride. This particular Dodge Dart swinger is a true survivor with only 26081 actual miles on the odometer. Everything about this car is original from the 318 V-8 with automatic transmission to the all stock tan interior. The engine compartment is clean and shows no signs of modifications! This car is equipped with factory AC. As with many of these older cars the AC will need to be charged, but the good news is that it is all there! Many times the AC components go missing on these older cars, which can be costly to find! The exterior looks good with only a few places needing attention. Overall, the car is very solid will last for years to come with the proper attention. The interior is nice and clean and only shows small signs of wear which is to be expected in a car with only 26000 miles on it.
