This rare, '62 Dodge Custom 880 2 dr. hardtop with almost all original paint and original, yellow-on-black license plates was last registered 40 years ago in 1974. As the previous owner passed away and the family was unable to locate the title, this car is being sold with a Bill Of Sale ONLY. In 1962 Dodge combined the front end of a '61 Dodge with the rear end of a '62 Chrysler, creating a very attractive combination and this was the result. This car is very straight and complete, except for the missing air cleaner and hubcaps, though it's currently NOT RUNNING and will need to be completely restored. Most of the chrome and stainless is still in good shape, except for a spot on the front bumper that's beginning to bubble and there are a couple of very small areas of rust-through along the roof edges and the trunk lid shows a few rust-through spots. The trunk floor wasn't viewable as the keys are missing. However, all of the glass is in great shape, the driver/passenger floors are solid and still even wear some of the factory paint....see red arrows in photos...and then there's that, oh so cool, Virgil Exner designed, matching "winged" dashboard and steering wheel which are also in still in good shape. So, if you're looking for something really different, with an extremely low production of only 1761 units, you'll be hard pressed to see another one like it at a classic car event anytime soon. In fact, when was the last time you saw one of these cars, period...especially, the two door hardtop? Low reserve. 61-23195060 This car is currently on eBay with the following Item Number 141260843116 and a low reserve.SOLD
