For sale in our Orlando showroom is a 1969 General Lee Dodge Charger. Car guys, petrol heads, grease monkeys, auto enthusiast, or whatever other title you want to classify yourself as, we all have the same passion and desire for cool cars and most of that fire came from watching our favorite movies and T.V. shows. The list of legendary 80’s movie and T.V. vehicles is a long one, from the Magnum P.I. Ferrari to the A Team GMC the list goes on and on. Here at Gateway Orlando we’re pleased to offer what could be considered the true star of the 80’s hit show “The Dukes of Hazzard”. The General Lee as its more affectionately known as, is the vehicle used by Bo and Luke Duke to out run Hazzard county’s finest and perform an onslaught of vehicular stunts and shenanigans. These vehicles all started life as 1968-1970 Dodge Chargers that depending on their role in the show had modifications made to them to perform particular stunts and according to Ben Jones aka “Cooter” there were a total of 320 vehicles used in the show. Our General Lee comes with all the fun goodies including a hefty 383CID V8 mated to a Torqueflight 727 Trans. Inside the trunk are signatures from the cast members including Bob Jones and the recently passed James Best aka Rosco P. Coltrane. If you’re in the market for one of the most recognizable T.V. cars out there, then don’t miss out on our General Lee. Located in our Orlando Showroom this 1969 Dodge Charger can be seen including HD pictures and videos at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
