1967 Dodge Charger, 318 V8, 727 auto transmission. 80802 miles on odometer.
This is a very nice Charger, not perfect but could be with very little work. It has been in the family now for over 20yrs always garaged barely driven sadly to many toys. The exterior of the car was painted in the 80’s before we owned it. When I had the engine out I cleaned up under the hood and painted everything under there. It now has a 318 with 105K out of a 1989 Dodge D100, new timing chain, oil pump, Edelbrock Performer intake, Carter carburetor, HEI ignition runs great. I have replaced all the brake lines with stainless steel. I did keep the drum brakes all around however I replaced the wheel cylinders, brake shoes, master cylinder and hardware kit. This is an original column shift car I have installed an original center council and B&M shifter. New front floor pan’s have been installed as well as a carpet kit. This is an original A/C car but all the components were removed before we purchased it, so I do not have the parts to reinstall.

I do have the original 318 that will go with it completely machined new pistons, valves, hardened seats larger cam, crank machined as well as the block deck and cylinder heads. Bad news is I failed to notice a crack in the water jacket between number 6 and 8 cylinders just above the oil pan mounting flange on inside of block. Engine was installed but found issue before ever starting so if you know someone that can Nickel weld the block could be salvaged. If nothing else all the parts are good just need a block. I have extra wiring, the original spinner hubcap and wheels (possibly 1966), a new in box spare tail light lenses an additional set of plates for the center council and all parts that came off the car will go with it.

The paint is over 30 years old and is showing a little ware from over buffing on roof, the car is solid, except for an enlarged frost plug hole in the trunk floor. I have included a picture of this. There is a small scratch on the lower rear passenger quarter panel (see photo). The interior the seat cloth is in good shape and seems to be a rare option or reupholstered early on. The bad news is that the vinyl portion of the front seats is separating from the cloth portion. The foam cushioning in the seats needs to be replacement it is 52 years old. The only time you can see the separation of the materials is when the front seat back is tilted forward. Back seats are perfect. Like most vehicles of this vintage the dash pad has a crack and arm rests are good but are on the harder side as normal.

Rotating head light motors are always a pain no matter what version you have but, since this vehicle was stored for over 12 years the headlight motors need to be cleaned to rotate when lights are turned on. They do operate when 12 volts applied to motor. These are highly sensitive when it comes to opening and dirt, oil combo.

Unfortunately the electro luminescent gauges do not glow. I have not figured that out. I have spare gauges in good shape that will go with.

After reviewing adds for other 1966 and 1967 Dodge Chargers I believe that $12,399.00 is a fare asking price. Remember that only 15788 were built in 1967 do not know how many came with 318 or how many are left but numbers are low.
