The Challenger name was first used by Dodge in 1959 for marketing a value version of the Coronet Silver Challenger. The 1st generation however was not released until the fall of 1969 as a 1970 model year and was designed to compete in the upper end of the pony car segment. It continued through 1974 when it was discontinued. The 2nd generation was produced from 1978 – 1983 and then it was discontinued until 2008 when the 3rd generation was debuted. The 3rd generation was discontinued in 2023 due to tightening emission standards. This particular example is a 1 owner beauty that was finished in Toxic Orange. In April of 2019 at 128,535 miles a new engine and intake manifold were purchased and installed. It has been faithfully serviced since day 1 and currently has 149,046 miles so there are only 20,511 miles on the new engine. The car has also been pampered since new and, as a result, looks like it has a fraction of the miles on it that it actually has. Everything works as it should. It has good tires and brakes and it was just serviced. We are serious about finding a new home for her and are asking less than what the replacement engine cost. So if you like what you see we urge you to contact us before it is too late!
