Classic, mostly original 1954 De Soto Firedome sedan. This vehicle was manufactured in Los Angeles, California. It remained in California and Arizona until coming east in August 2011. Always garage kept and rust free. The exterior 'Arizona Beige' is 85% and shiny. The interior seating surfaces were replaced in 2016. As much as possible, original material and hardware were incorporated into the new seating material. The car is equipped with a 276.1 c.i. displacement, historic, early HEMI V8. With 170 horsepower, it has no trouble keeping up with highway traffic. The odometer shows 97k miles and is 63 years old. It has a two-speed Powerflite fully automatic transmission that shifts flawlessly. Recent upgrades include: rebuilt radiator, heater core and new heater control valve, rebuilt steering box, new, Ethanol resistant fuel pump, valve cover gaskets, new voltage regulator. It also is equipped with power steering and electric windows, all of which work perfectly. The bright work is amazing. All chrome, including bumpers are shiny and free of pitting, except for a small amount on the hood ornament. Over the past six years it has won numerous car show awards including second place in its class in the 2016 DeSoto National Meet in Timonium, Maryland. It has been invited twice to appear in the Motor Trend International Auto Show at the Baltimore Convention Center, Baltimore, Maryland. Asking $10,000 or best reasonable offer. You could spend twice that amount or more restoring a lesser vehicle.
