My Grand-dad bought this car new at Wilbanks Motors in Alexander City in 1956 and soon afterwards, water began appearing in the oil. The dealership changed both side head gaskets twice and the problem persisted (331 Hemi). Grand-dad gave the car back to the dealer and said call him when it was repaired. Chrysler got involved and determined it was a casting flaw in the block and offered to give Grand-dad a new engine and a 1957 392 was installed to replace the 331. Ny Dad drove it in HS and he said nothing would outrun it. This particular style--New Yorker2-door hardtop was the basis for the rare C-300 NASCAR prototype. $4500 Delivery arranged.
