1955 Chrysler New Yorker Newport Deluxe

My Dad bought this rare 2-door hardtop Chrysler New Yorker from Wilbanks Motors in 1956 and soon after, water started appearing in the oil. The dealer changed both sides head gaskets twice and the problem persisted. Dad told the dealer to keep the car until it is fixed. A Chrysler Rep determined there was a flaw in the engine casting (331) and offered to install a new engine--a 392 Hemi which is what has been in the car since 1956. This is the rare (1 of 300) 2-dr ht body style that was the basis for the first C-300 prototypes. $4500. Delivery arranged.
