1940 Chevrolet Special Deluxe Coupe – A Prewar Survivor
This 1940 Chevy Special Deluxe Coupe is a classic survivor in a nice clean condition. This 2-door Business Coupe has a Straight-Six engine with 3-speed manual transmission on the tree. This Prewar classic is mostly original with converted 12 volt electrical and an updated dual cylinder brake system for safety. The tan color Deco era interior seats (front and back) and 2 door panels are clean and luxurious.
Body work, trim and 5 window glass appear intact and the yellow paint job (sometime in the past 25 to 75+ years) really makes this beauty stand out in a crowd. This survivor car even comes with its original 1940 Owner’s Manual and also some other unique accessories such as fog lights and a fold down trunk step.
After 75+ years this survivor shows over 99,189 miles on the odometer (that hasn’t worked during the 20 years its been in our family) and is missing its interior carpet and headliner.
Vehicle has a current Connecticut certificate of registration.
Whether you want to add a pre-war survivor classic to your collection or take a nice leisurely drive to your local car club or meet, this is a great car to enjoy for years to come. SOLD
