1962 Chevy II Sedan Delivery. Originally a `62 Chevy-II Station Wagon purchased from a one-family owner. The first order of business was to develop computer generated conceptual renderings in order to visualize the desired goal of factory appearing Sedan-delivery. The C.A.D. process was performed in Photoshop CS. Large volumes of actual and historical data, as well as numerous photos were used. Three major components including the Chevy-II Wagon, a nova 2-door sedan (Disclaimer! No"viable"nova sedan was destroyed in this build), and a Chevy S-10(A roll-over)were incorporated into the final "Street/touring Classic". The new personality for "DELIVERED" was achieved by removing the doors and separating the rocker panels and quarter sections at the factory seams of both the wagon & the donor sedan. The donor parts were then refurbished and fitted to the Wagon, creating a factory engineered appearance of well-balanced dimensions, all finished in base-coat/clear-coat PPG Grabber-Blue. The S-10 donor provided the Vortec 4.3 V6 (fitted w/Edelbrock carb), Radiator(&shroud),and the 4L60E Transmission. The electronic trans, utilizing a Comp-U-shift control along Dakota Digital Instrumentation allows the driver to "adjust Delivered's attitude" at will from tire scorching to 28 mpg in real-time from the driver's seat. The ride & handling are vastly improved by a Total Cost Involved (TCI) front sub-assembly & suspension including tubular A-frames, 10.5"power disk brakes rack & pinion Power steering, and 1" sway-bar. Larger drums & sway bar were also added to the rear along with air assist shocks. Comfort features include Vintage-Air climate control HT/AC, Cruise-control, power seat, power gate-window, Custom center console, Robust tight-nit Tweed upholstery, High grade deep-cut pile carpet over a double layer of sound-X matting, New weather seals all around. New fuel lines & tank, new brake lines & components, and all new rear axle components. 15x7" Alloy wheels.
