1956 Chevrolet Nomad
Up for sale in the Houston showroom is one of the most wagons on the market, the 1956 Chevrolet Nomad. The Chevrolet Nomad for sale is a station wagon model made off and on from 1955 to 1972. The Nomad for sale will always be best remembered in its two-door 1955–57 form, and was considered THE halo model during its three-year production as a two-door station wagon. The two-door Nomad for sale differs from other station wagons of the era by having unique styling more reminiscent of a hardtop sedan than that of a standard station wagon. Chevrolet shared this body with its sister Pontiac, which marketed their version as the Pontiac Safari. For 1956 the Chevy Nomad received a face-lift. This gave the Nomad a more conventional full-width grille, pleasing those customers who didn't like the Ferrari-inspired '55 front end. Nomads now carried the same interior and rear-wheel sheet metal as other Bel Airs, and getting rid of the outdated trim. Shoulder harnesses, and padded dashboard’s were now available. This particular Nomad has been in Texas most of its life and it really packs punch from the outdated 265 small block v8 to the 350 cubic inch punching out a hearty 300hp.. The car has seen a repaint in two gorgeous reds and the insides has been done in a popping white and black. Needless the say, the car has amazing contrast in the sun. The car is a true time capsule and an absolute wonderful edition to anyone’s garage or collection. Options on this 1956 Chevrolet Nomad Bel Air include: AC, am/fm/cass, power steering tilt wheel, vinyl seats and rally wheels wrapped in radial tires.
