1972 triple black Monte Carlo. 502 big block V8 dyno'd at 501 HP. Upgraded to a TH400 transmission with a shift kit also upgraded with 355 rear end gears. Factory SS gauge package was added as was center console shifter and bucket seats. Speaker system was upgraded to "Kicker" speakers and pushed by a Kentwood amp. Windows have been tented. Aluminum three row-1 inch tube radiator was also added to cool the 502. I also installed and HEI distributor, NAPA electronic fuel pump and a Holly regulator. The carburetor is a Demon duel pumper 750. Also I installed Hooker headers that flow into Magnaflow mufflers. They sound really good and not too loud while your inside the car. There are many high performance parts that were used to build up to 501 hp but too many to mention on here. What's left to do...I only drive this car on the weekends and I do enter a few local car shows. The car turns heads everywhere I go and lots of people ask to take pictures of the car. The car really shows well like it is but there are a few faded areas, blemishes and repairs that if I decided to keep the car it would be my next project. These cars are becoming the next Chevelle's and Barracuda's. You don't see many of these 1st edition Monte Carlo's. They are increasing in value yearly.
Also with the purchase of the car I have the original stock 350-4 barl engine, the stock rear end gears and TH350 tranny that came with the car. The engine does run and the transmission are both in good shape but the rear and front mains seals on the engine do leak.
