The Monte Carlo was Chevy’s personal luxury coupe which was first introduced in 1970 and endured six design generations. The 4th generation (81-88) featured a smoother profile and new vertical taillights similar to the 2nd generations. This particular example was frame off restored in 2006 at a cost of over $28,000.00. During the restoration a new ZZ4 crate engine rated at 350hp was installed as well as a new performance built Turbo 400 tranny and an all new braking system. The original 10 bolt rear end was freshly rebuilt and effortlessly transfers all of that power to its gorgeous 18” black and polished Boss rims. The laser straight body was upgraded with a 2” steel cowl hood and the gloss black paint has a mirror finish. The engine compartment shows nicely with its fresh paint, chrome valve covers and alternator. Not only does she show incredibly well but she also sounds just plain nasty ripping through her performance stainless steel exhaust system. The red interior is completely original except for the CD player and upgraded speakers and she was nicely optioned with A/C, T-Tops, power brakes, power steering and cruise control. This beauty has an original 147,556 miles of which it has less than 5,000 miles on its restoration. All said and done you will be hard pressed to find a cleaner looking 4th gen Monte that runs like this one. With an asking price that represents half of its restoration cost this sweet ride is sure to sell quick so if you like what you see you better call before it’s too late!
