Exterior: Beginning with a solid California no rust, accident-free El Camino, all body panels, chrome and stainless trim, window glass and running gear was disassembled. Body panels were soda blasted to bare metal. Door handles were shaved and a keyless entry system was installed. Fuel filler door was removed and filled with the filler re-fitted into the bed. PPG Hot Rod Yellow base and clear coat was applied, new chrome bumpers and trim installed, and all panel gaps were fitted to perfection resulting in an eye-popping, highly detailed, show quality fit and finish.
Interior: The cabin is fitted with all-new Black vinyl that covers the factory bench seat, door panels and headliner. The dash was fitted with a new OEM reproduction dash pad from CARS Inc. All painted surfaces match the stunning exterior. A LeCarra leather wrapped steering wheel is fitted to the factory steering column. The beautifully finished dash houses factory instrumentation, an under-dash Moon gauge cluster and working factory AC. All instruments, indicators, and lamps are fully operable. A Custom Auto Sound AM/FM Cassette is in the dash location with a remote 6-CD changer and 6x9 speakers mounted in a custom bulkhead behind the seat. The entire passenger compartment is insulated with foil-backed high density closed cell foam.
Engine and Driveline: The completely rebuilt 350 hp 327 cu. in. Chevy small block engine is mated to a freshened 350 TH automatic replacing the two-speed factory Powerglide unit. The engine is equipped with a new Carter 625 cfm carb, Billet Specialties polished aluminum intake manifold, valve covers, and air cleaner. The HEI distributor uses a special crossfire cap with Taylor plug wires. The custom 2" dual exhaust is aluminized with Turbo Pack flow through mufflers. A heavy duty core aluminum radiator handles the cooling. The factory HD rear end is equipped with 3.08 gears. Air Ride Technologies suspension smoothes the bumps and creates the "killer" stance. All new suspension components - ball joints, U-joints, tie rod ends, etc., along with the factory drum brakes, were replaced at the time of the restoration.
Wheels and Tires: 16 in. American Racing TORQ THRUST II wheels ride on radial tires.
