1971 Chevrolet El Camino SS

The 1971 Chevrolet El Camino SS is probably one of the more unusual classic collector vehicles. Referred to by Chevrolet as their 3rd generation coupe utility vehicle, it had the look and performance of the SS Chevelles. This El Camino is one of the nicest we have seen. Previous owner spent 40K in restoration and we have a stack of receipts about 3� thick along with the owner�s manual and the Protect O Plate included.
The body is nice and straight with high gloss paint. The bed is in excellent condition and looks as if nothing was ever hauled in it. The hood is correct cowl induction with working flapper and correct air breather with K & N filter. Stainless is very nice and bumpers are new. The glass is excellent and factory tinted. A front chin spoiler adds to the appearance of the front end. Tires are Tiger Paw 225/70/15 and on highly sought after factory 5 spoke wheels with trim rings.
The interior is also very nice. The bench seat and door panels are black with inserts that look just like carbon fiber. Also a custom drink holder, custom speaker boxes behind the seat, and both floor mats and head rest have SS emblems embroidered on them. Gauges consist of temp., oil and tach. The stereo is a pioneer AM/FM, CD player with remote.
The engine compartment is nicely done with chrome valve covers, alternator, and radiator cover. The core support cover is custom made and nicely finishes off the engine compartment. Headers are ceramic coated. The underside of the El Camino is painted body color and looks very solid. The engine is a strong running 400 CI with a Holley 4 barrel carb and the 700R automatic transmission is the best shifting I have ever driven. The rear end is a 12 bolt, 3.73 gear ratio.
