The 1987 Corvette is part of the four-generation (C4) 1984 to 1996 series of Corvettes and marked the first major restyling since 1968. The styling of the C4 models was more streamlined and lean than the previous generation. The 1987 Chevrolet Corvette got new roller lifters in the engine giving the engine 240 horsepower (35 more than the 1984 model). It also received aluminum heads, ABS brakes, better relays and a better steering rack than the previous C4’s. This particular Vette has been well taken of. In 2011 it received new plugs, new plug wires, new fuel injectors, a new steering rack, all new shocks and new brakes. The car had just over 65,000 miles when this was all done and currently has 70,734 miles. It runs incredibly well and sounds great. The rims were professionally polished a couple years ago which really sets off the gloss black paint. There are however a few small issues to know about. There is a small chip in the body by the passenger headlamp, the paint is spider webbing on the front bumper and hood, there is a faint high pitch noise that comes on when the ignition is turned on, the a/c needs recharged and the dash has shut off once or twice but always comes back on when you start the car all of which has been factored into the asking price. This 87 Vette would be the perfect choice for someone who wants a sports car but needs it to be reliable and docile enough to use as a daily driver. It will easily keep up with brand new sports cars at a fraction of the cost. We have priced this one to move as quickly as it goes so you better call if you like what you see! SOLD
