The third generation Corvette (C3) was patterned after the Mako Shark II concept car and was produced from 1968 until 1982. The C3 coupes were the first Corvettes to offer T-Tops which proved to be quite popular. Although the 1972 model's 350 ci horsepower was actually the same as that for the 1971 model year, the lower net horsepower numbers were used instead of gross horsepower. This particular example has 88,828 original miles and retains its original L48 350 ci V8. It was nicely optioned with A/C (not working), power brakes, power steering, the Turbo Hydramatic transmission and an AM-FM stereo radio. The car is all original except for the carb and the color. It was originally Ontario Orange but was changed to Sunflower Yellow when it was repainted in 2010. The paint shows like new with the exception of a small boo boo on the top side of the left fender. The carb was upgraded to a Holley 4175 (650 cfm 4 barrel) but the original Quadra Jet is included. In addition to the A/C not working you will also want to know that the heat, the windshield wipers and the clock are in need of repair as well. Overall we would classify this as a very solid #3 car and would it appraise it at $38,790 accordingly. We know the market is soft and have priced the car to sell quickly so if you like what you see you better pick up the phone before it’s too late!
