1978 Chevrolet Corvette Pace Car Edition

Presenting a 23,000 actual mile Silver Anniversary Pace Car Corvette that is in truly original condition. An article in the Wall Street Journal dated March 27, 1978 reads: “…clearly these aren't just any Chevys, in fact these are some 6500 limited edition Corvette sports cars. General Motors Corporation started building only last week largely as a promotion. GM's idea is to publicize two facts first, this is the Corvette’s 25th year in the auto market and second, a Corvette will be the official pace car used to start this year's Indianapolis 500 auto race.”

This Silver Anniversary Corvette has never been tampered with, never been repainted, completely original both inside and out. This is a super low mileage example with everything in working condition. Loaded with equipment including glass T-tops, air-conditioning, cruise control, tilt steering, power steering and brakes, power windows and more. All kinds of original documentation come with the vehicle, including the original window sticker and magazines from 1978 commemorating this milestone in Chevrolet history. SOLD
