This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 62 Corvette is considered to be one of the classiest most elegant Corvette's of all time. It was cleaned up by taking away a lot of the chrome trim but unfortunately was only available in one solid color now. This would also be the first year that the potent 327 would be offered in such a small lightweight car. This would prove to be a great combination for America's new super car. This gorgeous example was pulled apart to be restored in the mid 70's but as with a lot of projects life happened and the guy never got around to it. Bought and drug out of that same barn 20 years later the restoration would finally begin. The body taken completely off the frame and stripped down was in relatively good shape. The rear passenger quarter was replaced using a NOS piece from GM. With all of the body lines straightened out it was time to lay down the PPG primer. The next step was what color to choose. After careful consideration it was decided to go with white. After the multiple coats of white were laid a couple more of clear completes the exceptional finish on this classic. Under the hood is a 62 block built to 300 HP specs which is what this Corvette originally came with. The aluminum intake matched to the Holley 650 carb give this small block a better punch than those original 300. The chrome Valve covers are there to give this corvette just a bit more some class. The interior is what really draws you to this car. With the hardtop off and nothing left to obstruct your view. The red grabs you from a mile away and pulls you right to it. There is no soft top as many with that chose the hard top did not pay the extra for the soft top. If you have been wanting a last year C1 Corvette that has been completely rebuilt from top to bottom then look no further. Options on this 1962 Chevrolet Corvette include; AM/FM/MP3, Removable Hardtop, Hub Caps, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Radial Tires.
