This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 1967 was the last year for the now what most consider the best Corvette of all, the C2. Beginning production in 1963 the C2 was not only the best of all Vetter's but had the shortest run with only 5 years of production compared to the normal 8 to 10 of the rest. Coming in a number of trim and motor combinations the 67 was also the one of the most versatile. You could get one with a 327 300 HP 10.0:1 compression all the way to a fire-breathing asphalt shredding 435 horse 427. This particular 67 has the very capable and much sought after 350 horse 327 that many consider the best matched motor to be put into a corvette. With its high revving nature and low weight it makes the little fiberglass car really come to life. Capable of laying rubber clear through second gear and chirping the tires into third the torque is phenomenal. With the engine compartment being rather clean considering this is car that has been driven and was built for that purpose. Hence the luxury of AC which is very hard thing to find in a 67 Corvette never mind the convertible part. The 4 wheel power disc brakes make slowing down as simple as pressing the pedal and will build your confidence when driving this beauty. Take a step back and the Rally Red, period correct, paint looks amazing. With no signs of fiberglass stress cracks anywhere on the body it seems as if this vehicle has undergone a complete a restoration t one point and if I had to guess I would say within the past 10 years. Open the door and the black interior is in very nice condition with the seats being in exceptional shape with the springs feeling very soft while the black vinyl appears to have been redone recently. Jump in the driver seat and the classic fighter style cockpit puts everything right where it should be. The shifter that controls the Muncie m21 transmission feels great with the close ratio pattern ensures tight and quick shifts. All of the gauges work as they should with the tach and speedometer in perfect view begging to be pushed further and further. Press the handle underneath the rear deck and it swings up revealing the black vinyl top that seals up super tight leading me to believe it has been recently replaced. The top is in very good condition as well showing no signs of abuse or wear. Given the options this drop top C2 has you may want to consider it but don't consider it too long or you might have to look another 6 months to a year to find another one.
