This 1986 Chevrolet Corvette Indy Pace Car Edition for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. After an eleven year hiatus the convertible was back and it was in demand. With it being gone for so long GM partnered up with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and picked up the honor of being the 1986 pace car. With a total of 7315 convertibles being built that inaugural year they were all sold before they even hit the lots. With the actual cars being yellow and only 732 made this is one rare find. Being bought 29 years ago from a dealership in Madison IN for an astounding $35725 this Corvette has the optional $905 Bose sound system. The exterior paint is in great condition with the yellow as bright today as when it left Bowling Green. Flip forward the hood and you will see the L98 5.7 TPI V8 motor which was cutting edge back in 86. It even has the redesigned aluminum heads that give the Pace car a little more power than the basic Corvette.
