The Chevrolet Corvette was first built for the 1953 model year and has seen production throughout seven generations. This 1971 model is part of the Corvette's C3 generation. The Chevrolet Corvette (C3) was a sports car that was produced by Chevrolet for the 1968 through 1982 model years. Engines and chassis components were mostly carried over from the previous generation, but the body and interior were new. It set new sales records with 53,807 produced for the 1979 model year. This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is a complete rebuild of drivetrain from 2015-2018. An absolute blast to drive and it runs like new. Less than 2,000 miles on the new drivetrain. New Pioneer AM/FM/CD Bluetooth radio (not installed but included) and speakers. New chrome valve covers, alternator, FITech GoEFI system and fuel lines. New MSD wires and cap rotor. New spark plugs, aluminum radiator and electric fan. New Hooker headers and side pipes. Also four new tires with less than 500 miles on them (Cooper Cobra radial GT P225/70R15 M+S front and Futura GLS Super Sport P225/70R15 M+S rear). Many receipts available.
Older paint job (not original color) with a few defects. Looks amazing. Turns heads wherever it goes! Excellent fiberglass with no cracks. Perfect rear chrome and few defects on the front chrome. Solid undercarriage without rust. There is some rust on driver's A pillar. And very slow oil leak at rear main seal.
Interior is in excellent condition. Comes with FITech portable computer for engine monitoring and tuning. Carpet, seats, armrests are all looking good. All gauges work except the clock. Power windows, windshield wipers and headlights in working order. Newly purchased Pioneer radio, CD player and bluetooth stereo. I also have a NEW IN THE BOX air conditioning system from Vintage Air that will be included for free with the purchase of the car ($1600 value). I never got around to installing it.
