The engine has never been started since the rebuild began 15 years ago. My father passed before getting the high torque starter and carb to complete the engine. My father lubed everything as building it and I have recently removed the plugs, put Marvel’s Mystery Oil in the cylinders and hand cranked it. The power steering pump, alternator, A/C compressor clutch and blower all turn freely. I removed the corroded thermoquad that was a place holder on the blower to check the blower, and it looks good. If you want an authentic, custom, ’69 SS El Camino Street Machine… here’s a great start!
