This is a real 72 Code 1969 Chevy Chevelle Super Sport. The Monaco Orange color and black vinyl hard top is correct for the car. The previous owner repainted the car and had it color sanded and buffed. It looks excellent. As you may know, you can tell this was a real SS car because it has 72 as the color code on the VIN tag. The 72 indicates that this car was originally painted Monaco Orange, which was an SS only color in 1969. Therefore you can tell this is a real original SS car.
Here is a little history about the car:
According to the VIN tag the car was originally built in Fremont, California.
I purchased the car from a gentleman from Chicago in 2008.
The Chicago guy bought it from a private seller out of California and had it shipped to Chicago.
The owner from California indicated that the car had been owned by various individuals in his circle of friends for the past 20 years.
I have a copy of the original California title and a California license plate that goes with the car, showing the car had been registered in California. This documentation will go with the car.
Judging by the rust free body, I think this car has spent most of its life in California.
It still has its original floor pan, trunk pan, and quarter panels that are rust free and very straight.
With the body in such good condition, it would be hard to find another one like this in the Mid-West.
Here is some more details about the car:
-454 ci. V8 built to LS5 specs. Runs excellent, lots of power. This car is very fast. Unfortunately it is not the original engine in the car, but it does look period correct and runs awesome. The engine was just put in the car before I bought it. I have owned the car for the last 4 years and have driven it very little. The engine is basically new with very few miles. It has new March aluminum pulleys. New

New front and rear speakers, Rebuilt Steering Column, New Dash Pad, New Astro Ventilation Vents, New Door Handles, Window Cranks, and Door Lock Knobs.

Basically this car has been restored inside and out. It is in great shape. I have taken the car to several shows and get a lot of compliments. It is a lot of fun to drive. The main reason I am selling is because I travel a lot for work and I just dont have the time to enjoy it.
