The Chevelle is one of Chevrolet’s most successful nameplates that was produced for 3 generations. Introduced for the 1968 model year the second generation received an all new distinctly sculptured body with tapered front fenders and a rounded beltline. This particular example underwent a 3 year restoration that was completed in June of 2015 and has been driven 5,145 miles since. During its makeover it received significant upgrades which include a 600+ horsepower 496ci Stroker V8 crate engine fitted with Patriot Performance 320cc aluminum heads. It is fed via an 850cfm Edelbrock carb and performer intake and sounds just plain nasty ripping through its performance headers and exhaust. It is cooled with an aluminum radiator and there is plenty to catch your eye in the engine bay from the chrome alternator to the billet pulley system. Power is put to the Ford 9” rear end via a Tremec TKX 5 speed tranny. The suspension has been upgraded with adjustable coil over shocks as well as 4 wheel disc brakes. The interior is all new as well with original style seats and door panels complimented with a newer dash, newer gauges, a sweet billet steering wheel and an updated Kenwood stereo with 4 speakers. The body is laser straight with a gorgeous Tuxedo Black paint complemented with one of a kind custom grey rally stripes and topped with a black vinyl top. The chrome was all redone and is perfectly complemented by a gorgeous set of 17” American Racing Torq Thrust II chrome rims. This car is done right top to bottom and in need of nothing but a new home. Close to six figures went into the build of this beauty which was never built with the intention selling. Times have changed and it is being made available at a price that is half of what it cost to build. SOLD
