This car is a Clone Restoration with original X-11 Trim Tag. The car was purchased from a Salvage yard in 2004 under a salvage title since there was no Engine or Transmission in the car and there was body damage to the front Bumper, Hood and Quarter Panels. No Damage or Rust were found on the frame! The new owner had a body shop in Ft. Collins, Colorado and performed an off-frame restoration. Adding new body parts to most the car along with a new motor & transmission. The car was then re-certified by Colorado DMV and given a “Rebuilt From Salvage” Title when sold to the 2nd owner. This means the car is completely street legal to drive and has passed all certifications required by the State of Colorado. The current 3rd owner purchased the car in 2010 and had a complete Paint Restoration performed by Diamond Auto Craft-Pueblo, Colorado in 2011. The Car was stripped down to the frame. Colorado Performance put in the New 400 Automatic Turbo Transmission, New Suspension (Front & Rear), plus New Power Brakes & Power Steering were also added. Then the car was completely re-wired with “Painless Wire” System. For the past 7 years, the current owner has had the car officially inspected by NSRA with the car passing a 23-point safety inspection each year. However, the car still has a “Rebuilt From Salvage” title!
I’m the 3rd owner of the car since the first rebuild and have owned it for the past 7 years. The motor is not the original motor, it came with a 6 cylinder from the factory. A rebuilt 350 was installed at the time of the first restoration before I
purchased the car. I had a custom paint job done 6 years ago. There’s
approximately 10,000 current miles on the motor, New Cam, Distributor,
Timing Chain & ABD Gaskets replaced in September 2016 with about 200
current miles. I’m selling this car due to a bad hip and just have a
hard time getting in & out of the car. The car has always been garaged, always
ran 91% Octane Fuel, drives very smooth with plenty of power and is a
lot of fun to drive. I have most of all the receipts for the work I have done with the
upgrades, replacement parts & maintenance approx. $10,000. If you love Camaros and want a fun, good looking 1969 SS clone, then you won’t be disappointed when you come to see this one! Youtube Video of Car at: youtube.com/watch?v=H2sBxky-l5o
