The 2nd generation Camaro was produced from 1970 – 1981 and was longer, wider and lower than the 1st generation. These characteristics enabled much better handling which is why GM engineers referred to it as a driver’s car. The Z/28 special performance package included a 350ci LT-1 V8 rated at 360hp when it was first introduced in 1970. The 1974 Camaro grew seven inches longer thanks to new aluminum bumpers required to meet federal standards and a forward sloping grille. Round taillights were replaced with a rectangular wrap around design. It was the last year to have a flat rear window with thick roof pillars. This particular example was optioned with Dark Red paint and a Black vinyl interior. It also has a long list of factory options which include roof drip moldings, hide away windshield wipers, a right side exterior mirror, a center console, front and rear spoilers, 4 color striping, door handle decor, a 3:42 rear axle, posi traction, power brakes, a T400 transmission, power steering, a luggage lamp, a clock, an AM-FM stereo with 8-track, rear speakers and rally wheels. It is a 2 owner car that transferred owners for the 1st time just a couple of months ago. It has 35,773 original miles. It was repainted in its original color in 1999 at which time the underpowered 245 hp LT-1 was replaced with performance built 350 ci V8 that is estimated to put out over 400 hp. A few years after purchasing it the owner went back to the dealer and had an a/c system installed. The compressor and dryer have since been removed but the duct work and controls are still present. The car is in well above average condition and everything works as it should. We would appraise this beauty at $24,115 but we have priced it for a quick sale so if you like what you see you better call us before someone else does!
