For sale in our Chicago showroom is this rare Z11 optioned 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. Z11 was the cowl tag mark indicating a true Indy pace car model. There is only an estimated 3,600-3,700 of these cars put into production, mostly with the standard Chevrolet small block 350 CID engine and automatic transmission. This example, however, is powered by a numbers-matching beastly 396 CID big block Chevrolet engine coupled to a four-speed manual transmission. Part of the Z11 package gets a special color combination specific to only this package. The exterior color is a base coat of Dover White with Z-28 style stripes in Hugger Orange, while the interior sports a very unique orange houndstooth pattern. This example has a recent full restoration and has had the original numbers matching drivetrain freshened up and put back in place ready to shake some more pavement.
