The 1st generation Camaro first arrived in dealerships in September of 66 as a 67 model on a brand new F body platform. For its second year the 68 model was updated with the introduction of Astro Ventilation, the side vent windows were deleted, side marker lights were added on the front and rear fenders and it received a more pointed front grille in addition to divided rear taillights. This particular example was born in Los Angeles during the 1st week in February of 1968 as a real SS with a 327ci V8, a console shifted 2 Speed Powerglide, a 10 bolt posi rear end, power steering and power brakes. It retains its original 327ci engine which was rebuilt less than a couple of thousand miles ago and purrs like a kitten. At the same time the engine was rebuilt it was also restored during which time it was repainted in its original color of LeMans Blue with Ivory stripes. It was originally equipped with a Blue Standard interior that was changed to a mild custom black leather interior that shows like new. It was also upgraded with billet window cranks and door handles, the gauges were upgraded with Classic Instruments Tradition Series, it now retains a Custom Autosound USA630 stereo and the car is really set off with its chrome Cragar SS 17” rims. This Camaro is an absolute pleasure to drive and turns heads everywhere it goes. This car is basically a #1 car but we have conservatively appraised it as # 2 car which currently has a value of $46,920. We have priced this gem aggressively so if you like what you see don’t wait until it’s too late to call! SOLD
