The 1st generation Camaro first arrived in dealerships in September of 66 as a 67 model on a brand new F body platform. For its second year the 68 model was updated with the introduction of Astro Ventilation, the side vent windows were deleted, side marker lights were added on the front and rear fenders and it received a more pointed front grille in addition to divided rear taillights. This particular example was born in Norwood the 4th week of September in 1968 with a 350ci V8 and a Muncie M21 transmission. It has since been fitted with a 350ci with a 4 bolt main from a 72 Chevy Pick-up. The engine was bored .030 over before being installed in 2001 and is now a 355. Before installing the engine it was upgraded with a B&M 871 blower which is estimated to bring the horsepower to well over 400. The original Muncie 4 speed has no problem putting power to 10 bolt posi rear both of which were rebuilt when the engine was installed. It is fed via dual 650 cfm carbs and sound just plain nasty ripping through its performance headers and exhaust system. Shortly before the engine was installed it was repainted in LeMans Blue with Ivory stripes. It was originally Ash Gold with a Black Vinyl top. The interior is from a 2nd generation Camaro and shows incredibly well considering its age. The brakes were all just gone through and are in perfect order and it sits on a newer set of American Racing Torque Thrust D rims that are wrapped in Good Year Eagle ST tires. The paint on the car is far from perfect so if you are looking for a trailer queen this is not the car for you. If you are looking for a driver that you would be proud to take to any local car show or cruise night this is the car for you. If you agree you best pick up the phone as we have priced this one to move quickly! SOLD
