Very rare oportunity to find an 54k miles all original untouched survivor in Tropical Turquoise with a white top. The 1957 Belair 4 door Post was order with the rare Super Turbo Fire Power Pack High Compression upgrade engine with 220 bhp 9.5.1 compression 4 barrel carburetor and with factory dual exhaust, very rare for a 4dr sedan, most were 2barrel or 6 cylinders. The 57 Belair was stored for some 36 years with 54k miles. The stories goes this 57 Belair was built at the Oakland Plant in California and delivered new to Nevada and sold to its first owner. He purchase the Belair for the wife and when she passed away years later in 1971 the Belair came to California and was sold to its second owner with 38k miles whom was from California, The Belair was registerd with California both front and rear blue plates which is still on the Belair, he enjoyed the 57 until he decided to sale the belair with less then 54k original miles, put and ad in the local newspaper ad for $2k, the third owner purchase the car for the agreed asking price, then the belair was never driven again and put away in 1979. Obviously it was not running, but it was in incredible condition being stored out of the element, so it is completely rust free. I have all of the paperwork letter from when the car was purchase with documented miles, original owners Manuel, receipt for the asking price of $2k, and the posted ad from the 70,s. Here is what was done to make the car run again.
It currently sits on 15/6 rally wheels, i do have 2 of the original 14 inch wheel, and hubcaps. The bumpers are in incredible condition. The interior is almost like new, with minimal imperfections.
This 57 Belair was special order with the rare 283 Power Pack which consist of higher compression engine,
9.5.1, which puts 220 BHP and 300 ft pound of torque at 3000 rpm and also as factory dual exhaust.
The Belair now runs, drives, stops at it should, and all interior gauges functions, including the original radio works.
Also the exterior lights, turning indicators, brakes lights and reverse lights function and operate as they should. Also the exterior stainless trim is as new, no dents. There is some surfaces rust on the top of the trunk, front left fender as you will see in the pictures, but it is all surface rust. Also there is a small dent on the left front lower fender by the driver side front wheel. All glass is original and in excellent conditions. The original 14 inch spare wheel tire is in the trunk including the jack and original owners manual. I also have boxes of magazine that will go with the 57.
All new brakes and wheel cylinders and master brakes.
Complete tune up, plugs, points, condenser, rotor, and cap.
New water pump, thermostat, upper and lower hoses, and new coolant.
Radiator was rebuilt, with new core.
New gas thank.
Oil change and filter 10/30 full synthetic.
Transmission was service with all new fluids.
Vehicle is SOLD as is where is, no warranty written or implied.
It took 36 years for this 57 Belair to come out of its hibernation. You will not have another opportunity to obtain a totally original untouched 1957 Belair like this one with these low miles, and with the very rare 283 High Performance Power Pack options is rarely seen on 4drs.
I have lots more pictures if interested, e-mail me and will send more pictures.
Thank you.
