This 1961 Chevrolet C10 Apache Pick up is available in our Louisville KY showroom.1960 would introduce the first year for Chevy's C/K line of pickups. The new series was the first truck to have what is known as a drop center ladder frame. Still used in trucks today this allows the cab to sit much lower which in turn makes it feel as if you're in a car. Add to that the independent front suspension and many people said that these trucks rode better than a lot of the cars being produced. This 61 C10 has took those same principals and well basically has put them on steroids. Underneath this short bed you will find not only a very modern set up but one that takes the word sport truck to a whole new level. The decision was made to take the front and rear of a C4 corvette and apply it to the truck. With the front using the coil over set up this truck steers like no other. The rear has been done the same way with the independent rear end complimenting the front perfectly. Not to mention the 4 wheel disk brakes were also implemented making this truck a true weapon on those windy back roads.Of course all this sporty ride doesn't mean much if you don't have any power going to those tires. Having that said a brand new GM 350 small block crate motor was purchased and dropped in. Hooked up to a turbo 350 transmission this
