1957 CHEVROLET 3100 SERIES STREET ROD PICK UP
I obtained this exceptional truck from a 72 year young man in a small Texas town. He completed the restoration process approx 8 years ago. He built this truck as a true sleeper street rod. The power is provided by a modified 327, camel hump 202 heads, cam, headers, Edelbrock Intake and 4 bbl carburetor, HEI ignition, full length exhaust and Corvette tips. There is a nitrous plate under the carb - nitrous bottle under rear cargo cover - and "Go-Go" switch on dash. The final hose and electrical needs to be completed to be functional, but the expensive "meat" is all there. It features a modified Turbo 350 transmission, 2800 RPM stall convertor, 10.5" Chev Camero posi rear end with 3:73 gears and splined shafts. The transmission shifter is a B&M ratchet shifter. The battery is located under the cargo cover as well as a fuel cell, extinguisher and spare tire. The body is all steel, except for fiberglass front fenders. The 2 stage paint was applied , then the body reassembled. The front bumper bolts have been shaved. The rear valance was rolled and has tail/brake lights inserted. It includes electric cooling fan, alloy wheels, new seats, wooden steering wheel, gauges, tachometer, new carpet - headliner, and functional tailgate. This truck has obviously been rebuilt with quality and pride of ownership.
