Has the correct 265 V8 engine with all the original 3 speed transmission, and most everything is intact, however the car does not run. This neat little wagon is a shade on the rough side, but there are not too many of these original wagons left. The original Chevy radio is still in the car, but there are some parts missing in the dash. The grille and bumpers are pretty nice, and the tailgate is OK. Some of the glass is cracked, but it is all there. The original seats are intact, need to be redone. Original front seats for 55 Chevys are really hard to find, so this is a bonus for you. The floors do have rust in them, but the replacement floor pans are readily available, and not too expensive. Chevy had a really dumb idea of putting rubber floor mats in these vehicles, and it general caused floor rust. The transmission hump is not rusted. There also if the normal rust out over the headlights, again replacement metal is available.
The outside of the car is pretty solid, does have a different front clip than the original. If you are looking for a reasonably priced 1955 Chevy, here is your car. Or, if you are looking for a good parts car, this is the ticket for you. Yes she needs to be completely restored, but then the price is right.
